Yoplait Smoothie Review and Giveaway

smoothie

Did you know seven out of 10 Americans do not consume the daily recommended amount of fruit? Every Yoplait Smoothie contains a full serving of fruit as well as real Yoplait yogurt pieces with live & active cultures. Yoplait Smoothies are a good source of calcium when prepared with milk according to directions, and an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin C.

Simply add milk to a Yoplait freezer package, blend, and in less than two minutes you can enjoy a nutritious and delicious smoothie guilt free! At 110 calories per serving, Yoplait Frozen Smoothies make creating the at-home smoothie convenient, simple and worry free.

Thanks to General Mills and MyBlogSpark my family got to try out the Yoplait Smoothie’s. I didn’t even get to get them in the freezer before my kids wanted to make them and they loved them. You can find them in the freezer section close to the frozen whipped toppings.

General Mills and MyBlogSpark wants to give one lucky reader the chance to try them too and will be sending out a coupon for a FREE pack of Yoplait Smoothie and a personal blender. You can also print off a $1.25 off coupon here in case you can’t wait.

To enter: Tell me your favorite smoothie concoctions.

For an extra entry tweet this: I just entered for a chance to try new Yoplait Smoothie’s from General Mills on @jane4girls blog http://bit.ly/aTQ6zx. Go enter!

Entries will be taken until Friday, February 19th at noon CST. I will post the winner at that time and you will have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information.

You may not believe this, but I've never had a smoothie....closest I come is a vanilla shake and that's bought not homemade. I know my fruit intake is dangerously low, and I don't like yogurt although I've tried several times to get use to it...I think it is the texture and aftertaste I don't like. I would love to try this as a smoothie and see if I could like it and get the nutrients I know my body needs.

My favorite is strawberry/banana. My daughters' favorite is marachino cherries and chocolate syrup. Somedays she changes up a little and has banana with a little creamy peanut butter!

I am a simple girl: I use yogurt, banana, fruit medley from Publix, and some ice. Though I do love using OJ, bananas and a fruit medley more and eating yogurt in a bowl. Honesty, I dont really use yogurt in what I call "smoothies"..hmm

I love to use frozen mixed berries with fat free vanilla yogurt and a little skim milk. Most any fruit based smoothie I like though.

I don't always use yogurt in my smoothies, but the general recipe follows: Ice, a splash of juice (blend until slushy), then add whatever is on hand -- usually banana, strawberries, blueberries and maybe some frozen fruit like mango. Then blend again until smooth. If I decide to add yogurt, I do so near the end.

I haven't had a smoothie in a long time. My favorites were ones you could get at Thirsty's, a drink kiosk at the malls. I really enjoyed the strawberry banana ones.
