Giveaway Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas

CGXmas_DVD_2D-216x300

Even though my youngest girls are now in Junior High they still love Curious George. I remember watching him and The Man in the Yellow Hat as a kid myself. So when I was offered to review and giveaway the new DVD, Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas, I had to say yes.

As soon as we got our copy of the DVD the girls had to watch it. While on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift George gets into his normal mischief. The Man in the Yellow Hat sure has a lot of patience with Curious George. This DVD is sure to become an instant classic.

One lucky reader will get their own copy of Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas along with a CD soundtrack from the movie.

To enter: Tell me any memories you have of Curious George

For extra entries tweet this: I just entered to win Curious George #AVeryMonkeyChristmas DVD from @jane4girls. http://jane4girls.blogspot.com/ You should enter too.

Tweet as many times as you want then come back and post your tweet. Each tweet counts as an extra entry.

Entries will be taken until Friday, December 18th at noon CST. At that time a winner will be picked and you will have 24 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked.

My Tifani loves watching Curious George, although she calls him Silly Monkey! I remember watching curious george when I was younger and babar, and it amazes me that she likes the same shows I did, and that there even around!

I don't really have many memories of Curious George from my childhood, but I love seeing my kids face light up when we catch it on PBS or when we read the books. My two year old even sleeps with a George plush.

Growing up in rural Eastern Kentucky, we rarely had our own books and VHS wasn't even affordable then. So my first experience with Curious George was a yellow book which was in our classroom library. I loved George's books and often checked them out. The Man in the Yellow Hat was so patient and kind, and I envied their relationship! I now have neices and nephews and god children and children at church who I love to introduce to Curious George! I'll bet the DVD is great!

My sister had quite a few Curious George books. I always loved how he could cause havoc, but it came out alright in the end. Very endearing :D

We never heard of curious George when I was growing up 40+ years ago...he may have been around, but just not in our neck of the woods perhaps. My children had a few of his books and always enjoyed him. Actually, when my youngest was a teenager she really got into him! Now the grandkids would benefit from this wholesome character.

I remember my grandson (age 3) trying to "steal" curious george from the library story hour. He thought he could just take the stuffed animal home with him - a few tears later all was okay!

I don't remember Curious George from when I was a child, and my sons were not 'inot' him as preschoolers, but my granddaughters love him. They have several books & little stuffed Georges that imitate what is going on in the book.

Like another poster said I remember trouble always found him but in the end everything turned out for the best! My 2 yr is just now getting into TV and George is one of his favorites.

I ♥ Curious George! And I love that he's still around for my son to fall in love with him as well. I will always equate George with mischief, but it always seems to work out for him in the end. Silly little monkey!

Curious George is practically an honorary member of our family! We watch him (and read the books) every day. I love Curious George - thanks for a great giveaway!

I remember him as a big stuffed animal sittin gin my dentist's office with braces on. Every single month when I went in to have my braces tightened, I was greeted by this huge, stuffed, monkey, smiling at me with this metal mouth...too cute!

I remember reading Curious George books to my children. Now my grandkids come to my house and we read or watch it on television together. They love it and ask so many questions.

I remember Curious George fondly - and my son loves the movie and books too. My little monkey is very similar in some ways...

I love that monkey. I remember watching Curious George black & white film strips on a projector in the library when I was in first grade. LOL

JANE4girls said...

@ Elle-Tn I have to comment on that. The girls get to watch movies this last week before the break and I said something along the lines of "I used to get to run the projector machine for our movies" and they looked at me clueless.

I then asked how they watched the movies at school "on a flat screen TV with a blu-ray player"

Times have changed for sure!

I remember reading about Curious George to my oldest son who is now in his mid 30's and would love to have this to share with his children.

My 1 yr old son loves Curious George! It was even the theme for his first birthday bash! From the time he could crawl he would gravitate toward his stuffed version of this family favorite! We brought Curious George with us on our flight to Boston as it was the only thing that would console my son, besides his own thumb! It didn't matter that he and the stuffed animal were the same size!

Well, I did grow up loving Curious George, but my favorite memory of Curious George actually of the movie that came out a couple of years ago. The one with Will Farrell and Drew Barrymore. I was expecting mediocre, but was delighted to find a heartwarming story. Of course Jack Johnson, who was the feature musician, was outstanding.
