Harry Connick Jr. Your Songs

Harry Connick Jr (flutter) just released a new album “Your Songs” on September 22nd.

He added his own soulful jazz twist to old time favorites. Songs included on the new CD are:

Album Tracklisting (Originally performed by):

All The Way (Frank Sinatra)
Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Can’t Help Falling In Love With You (Elvis Presley)
And I Love Her (The Beatles)
(They Long To Be) Close To You (The Carpenters)
Besame Mucho
The Way You Look Tonight
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
(Roberta Flack)
Your Song (Elton John)
Some Enchanted Evening
And I Love You So
(Don McLean)
Who Can I Turn To? (Tony Bennett)
Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
Mona Lisa (Nat King Cole)

There are several songs like Your Song and Just the Way you Are that I love, but there are others that while Harry sings them great, I can’t imagine anyone else singing them such as Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.

He was on the Today Show this week with his wife and girls in the wings. His daughters are hitting the teenage years and he is very nervous about it. He's also got a great since of humor.

I don't even need to read his page to know he cooks for New Orleans! He is very giving and very generous to his town and that is AWESOME!

I clicked on his biography just to see what it said. Very interesting. I didn not know that he first performed when he was five, a recording a ten and left for NYC at eighteen.

He grew up in New Orleans and was great on David Letterman last night! :) (I kinda wanted to see him go eat pizza with Dave and Madonna, though!) We are big fans of Harry in this house.
