Better Life Green Cleaning Products

starterKit

If you have been following my blog any length of time you might know my dirty little secret….I don’t like cleaning!  I can’t stand the smell of chemicals and with an asthmatic child in the house she would always have to leave if I did some heavy cleaning…so many times it didn’t get done.

A month or two ago I came across Better Life green cleaning products. I was given the Starter Set above to try out. I didn’t want to just get it and simply post a review on it right away. I wanted time to (gasp) clean with it.

Better Life offers a wide range of products for all of your cleaning needs. I have been using all of the products in the starter pack since I got it. Right now, because of my cleaning needs, my favorite is the what-EVER!

Besides having the coolest labels I have seen, what-EVER! is an all purpose cleaner that also disinfects. It has actually been proven to remove more germs and bacteria than conventional disinfectants! And the best part,it is solvent-free (no ammonia, alcohol, ethers) and pH neutral. For my family this means that even my daughter with asthma has no excuse not to help clean now…sorry honey. It cut through splattered grease on the microwave and cook top like you would not believe!

Better Life Green Cleaning Products has offered to give one lucky reader the same starter pack that I received.

To enter: Visit Better Life online and check out the “Flower Test” and give me your opinion/feelings on the test.

For extra entries: follow me on twitter @jane4girls

Then tweet this: I need Better Life http://www.cleanhappens.com/ from @jane4girls so @cleanhappens in my house! http://jane4girls.blogspot.com/ Go win it!

You can tweet twice a day. Entries will be taken until Friday, October 30th at noon CST. I will then post the winner and you will have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked. Anonymous entries will not count, I need a name and email address or link to your blog.

Wow...I didn't expect the Pine Sol to fare well in that test, but I was quite surprised that the Method killed it just as dead...these sound like great products!!

Congrats in advance to whoever wins! :)

WOW! So I guess if my floors are clean, I can always use better life's floor cleaner as a flower holder! -just kidding... These products look awesome! Thanks for the chance!

I would have never tried placing flowers in cleaning products, but it really is fascinating to see that the flower can live in the Better Life product. Great idea to do that!

I guess the flower test says it all about safe vs toxic cleaning solutions.

Was shocked that the Method flower didn't do well. This was a great use of time lapse photography. Those poor, poor flowers on the right and the left.

Interesting test. I thought they were going to say something in the video, but they didn't. I wonder how long they waited in each picture, and in the end did the final Daisy ever wilt, and they just didn't show it?

Okay, I love the idea of the product, but that video is just silliness. vinegar is a great substitute for many harsh chemicals and does a fantastic job at cleaning plus kills lots of germs, but it will also kill a flower ;) Other than water, most things will kill a flower, alcohol would and that isn't such a horrible cleaner either...

Anyways, cool products, love what they're doing, but I hate gimmicky things like that that don't actually make a particularly good point ;)

Looks like good stuff would love to try it.

Sure makes you think and more aware of the type and quality of cleaners we are subjected to every day!

Very interesting- I am sure the flower test will convince many people to purchase this product, but the product is not made to keep flowers alive, but rather to clean. However, also learning more about the product, it sounds like it does both well, and would be welcome additions to my cleaning cabinet!

That was really interesting to see. It shows that chemicals are so not good for you and anything without is better for flowers let alone people
Thank you!

I know it's supposed to show that it is less toxic than the other products but does that mean that the better life product is mostly just water and vinegar? I am interested in the 2AM miracle though if it works without smelling like disinfectant

that was an interesting test. It really got you thinking. I am surprised about the other "green" cleaner.

Wow! The flower experiment was really interesting. I've been using Method for years because it's "all natural". I'm intrigued by the Better Life products! Here's hoping I win so I can give them a try!

It was very interesting. I would love to use these products. It makes me wonder what all is really crawling in my house when i think it is clean.

Interesting, makes me wonder what kind of cleaning agent is actually in the stuff if it doesn't kill the flower. After all, I use vinager to clean almost everything, and I use it to kill weeds, too. I'd love to try the stuff and see how it works.

I found the test to be very interesting. I, like some of the other commenters, would like to know how long the time lapse was and what exactly is in this cleaner. I would like to see how it compares to a vinegar, water and essential oil solution. Still, it gives you something to think about!
