Swiffer WetJet Review

Picture 9

About a month ago I got the new Swiffer WetJet in the mail from MyBlogSpark. Since I don’t like mopping I put it off for a bit my floor was clean I had to wait for it to get very dirty.

Picture 8

The newly designed Swiffer WetJet has dual spray nozzles in front to start breaking up the dirt with the solution before the WetJet pad even touches it. There is also a removable large scrubby strip in the front that is great for getting those dried on messes.

IMG_1602

Almost all of my downstairs is ceramic tile and it really hides the dirt well. After cleaning the entire area this is what my WetJet pad looked like. Pretty gross huh?  It really locked in the dirt and picked up the pet hair too.

The Swiffer WetJet was so easy to use that my kids wanted to use it too. I kind of felt like Tom Sawyer and painting the fence. It was so much easier than using the old fashioned mop and bucket and lugging that around the floor.

Swiffer is so sure that you will love the WetJet that they are even offering a Money Back Guarantee on it.

Piggy Paint

PIGGY PAINT LOGO

We were recently sent some Piggy Paint for the girls to try out.

In case you have not heard of it Piggy Paint is a kid (and mom) friendly nail polish that contains no formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate or acetone.  It is a water-based polish that is specially formulated of natural ingredients.

With three girls always wanting to have their nails done this is a nice alternative to other polishes. I like that it is odorless as our house can sometimes smell like a nail salon.  This is also a safe polish for little kids who are always sticking their hands (or feet) in their mouths. Luckily mine are past that stage.

You can follow Piggy Paint on twitter or look for them on Facebook for secret sales and special offers. Or you can use this code: 4GIRLS15L for 15% off your purchase until October 15. This code is good on anything including sales items. If you spend over $25 shipping is FREE!

Munchkin Caterpillar Spillars

Munchkin Caterpillar Spillers review by Kimberly at Just Frugalicious. I received these but had no little ones to try them out, so I passed them onto Kimberly.

"We picked them up from her house last Thursday (before we visited Chick Fil A for their complimentary sandwiches). I really wanted to keep them all packaged up until we returned home – hoping not to have to gather them, three kids, Chick Fil A Sandwiches, backpacks, any anything else that might have been in the truck when we unloaded at home. But, that didn’t happen! With three inquisitive kids in the back seat of the Avalanche…..the package didn’t stay contained for too long! And, I of course ended up hunting throughout the entire back seat to try to find all the cups!!

At bath time, I had finally found all the cups and re-introduced them to Evan! HE LOVED THEM! He would scoop up the water and spill it out…… He loved when the water ran out of the bottom of the cup!

The cups are suppose to hook together to make a catapillar, but we didn’t have much success with that function of the product. The cups wouldn’t stay attached – and with one touch of a finger, they disconnected.

IMG_2062 IMG_2063 IMG_2064

Addison, our nearly 4 year old, loved the cups as much as Evan did! She played with him as I gave his bath – and at the end all three of us were equally wet, I believe!

IMG_2065

Evan was entertained by the cups and big sister!

IMG_2066

What suprised me was how fast the toys dried! I pulled them out of the bathwater and tossed them into the sink to drain. By the time I had Evan to his bed to finish drying and dressing him, the toys were nearly water-free. I tossed them in his bed with him – in an attempt to keep him occupied while Big Sister had a bath!

IMG_2067

Of course when I walked back into his room, all the cups had been tossed out of his crib (except this one) – which he quickly tossed upon my arrival. What a game of pick-up!!"

Make Back to School Special

bus

About two years ago my family started a tradition: Fresh Baked Cookie Wednesday. It marked the middle of the school week for my kids and gave us time to snack together after school and talk about the plans for the weekend.

MyBlogSpark and Pillsbury gave me some of the Ready to Bake Back to School cookies to try out. One thing we love about these (besides just eating them raw) is that you can bake as little or as many as you want. That comes in very handy in my house since my kids only like “hot” cookies, so I can make 6-8 of them and not have leftovers or I can make the whole batch.

The Back to School Ready to Bake cookies are available for a limited time and one lucky ready is going to get to try them out also, plus the items pictured above thanks to Pillsbury and MyBlogSpark.

How to enter:

Leave a comment about a school tradition your family takes part it. That is it! I will pick a random answer and post the winner. Entries will be taken until Tuesday, September 15th at noon CST. At that time I will post the winner and you have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked.

PUR Flavor Options Review and Giveaway

PUR_Flavor_Options_Pitcher

Okay to be completely honest when I first heard about PUR Flavor Options when it first came out several years ago I was confused. Sometimes it doesn’t take much. Anyway I thought that you basically bought a “mix” to go into your filtered water so you would get some sort of filtered pitcher of kool-aid…wrong.

Put simply you have your pitcher of filtered water and can buy small flavor cartridges that fit into the top of the PUR pitcher.

Filtered water comes out as you pour, but with the push of a button you can add little shots of flavor to your water…or just keep it unflavored if you want, that is the option.

The available flavors are lemon, grape, strawberry, peach and raspberry. Each flavor cartridge provides up to 75 servings and contain no sugar, calories or dyes.

I was recently given a PUR Flavor Options pitcher to try out at home. It took awhile to figure out how much flavoring I liked in my water. I am now officially a “3 click” grape lover while my kids are  “2 click” raspberry lovers. That is one of the nice things about the PUR Flavor Options is that everyone can add more or less flavor to their water just with the click of a button.

One lucky reader is going to get to try the PUR Flavor Options system at their own home.

Haagen-Dazs Five

icecream

Recently I was sent coupons from Haagen-Dazs to try out a few of their different yummy creations.

One of their product lines that we tried out is called five. The reason behind the name is that this line contains only five ingredients: skim milk, cream, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla. So simple…so good.

This is the closest thing to home made ice cream without all the work of cranking and all the wait time.

By the way Haagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees. To find out how they are helping the honey bees, go to www.helpthehoneybees.com.

Haagen-Dazs has also offered to give away a special prize to my readers consisting of 3 FREE item coupons and a re-usable tote!

How to enter:

Loveable Labels

BTS-Redpg2

With school back in full swing that means 1000 things to get lost…or not! When I was little my mom used to label our sweaters with some type of sewing tape…probably hem tape, but it would usually come off.

Loveable Labels is a label making company. Not only do they have iron on clothing labels, they also have labels for shoes, binders and food containers that are washable. That means no more lost shoes at P.E. and no more unclaimed jackets, binders or lunch boxes at the lost and found.

Loveable Labels is offering my readers a 10% discount by entering the code: 4girls when you buy the Back to School Mega Pack, which is what is pictured above.

The code is good for two weeks from the date of this post.

Road Trips Just Got Better

sing

Rand McNally, the venerable American company that has been helping families find their way for more than a century, just introduced a series of innovative games and activities to keep kids entertained and families connected in the car. The Boredom Breakers™ line is a refreshing alternative to portable DVD players and handheld video games many families use to pass time on long road trips or while shuffling around town. The products are designed to bring families together, encouraging conversation, laughter and fun making the miles fly by for moms and kids on the go.

Rand McNally developed the five games based on extensive parent research. Moms across the country were clear about what they like - creative activities that make kids laugh and allow family members to learn more about one another - and what they don’t like - games with a lot of little pieces.

With that, Boredom Breakers were born! The five activities are sold separately at RandMcNally.com and Amazon.com. Tell stories, solve mysteries, play car games, sing classic pop tunes, discover new things about each other…and do it together as the hours quickly pass.

Story Starters: Packed with 72 minutes of funny stories, mysteries and games, this interactive CD will be an instant road trip hit. Story Starters combines the best of classic radio-style drama and audio effects to get families telling stories together. Hearing is truly believing!

Car Karaoke: Mom can sing lead and kids are back-up vocals. Just pop in the CD with 12 classic rock, pop, and kid favorite songs. Includes everything needed to be a rockstar: an inflatable microphone, rating cards, and three lyric books. Choose from favorites like “Build Me Up Buttercup” or “Twist and Shout,” to see who’s got the pipes in the family. Earplugs not included!

Car Game Countdown: Car games are fun, but they are even more outrageous when you’re trying to beat the clock. Car Game Countdown includes a car-shaped digital timer with electronic sound and laminated dual-sided game cards featuring 18 games on a clip ring.

Travel Card Games: Travel Card Games features three great games to pass time and start conversations. Includes a slim storage box to easily stow in the backseat pocket.

Magnet Message Makers: Magnet Message Makers is a mess-free way to get the kids and the car ready for the road . It includes two reusable and removable magnets that will not harm your vehicle and five sheets of removable stickers for decorating the magnets. “Florida or Bust!” “

We were recently given the Car Karaoke to try out on our next road trip. Once we do I will come back with a follow up post to let you know how the girls “scored” me.
