Top This Box Top for Education Giveaway

spark

I am sure by now most of you who have kids have them back in school or they will be going very soon. Did you know that you can help your kids school earn money simply by collecting Box Tops for Education (BTFE)? They are the little squares on participating products and are worth 10¢ each when you turn them into your school. You can also enter for a chance to win bonus box tops for your school, or Pillsbury Toaster Strudel or school supplies for yourself.

Pillsbury Toaster Strudel's are great for those mornings where the kids oversleep and don't have time for a long sit down breakfast. Totino's pizza rolls also make a quick after school snack for the kids to enjoy while doing homework so mom can work on dinner. Both products participate in the BTFE program and specially marked packages have 2 bonus box tops for a total of 3, which means 30¢ for the school you support.

One lucky reader will win the prize pack pictured above, provided by MyBlogSpark. Entries will be taken until Monday, September 7 at noon CST. At that time I will post a winner and you will have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked.

How to enter:

Quick foods when we're on limited time are typically sandwiches. I try to have them prepared ahead of time if I know it's going to be a particularly busy lunch or dinner time.

Leisha said...

Sandwiches are great on the go foods for us. Whether it be PB&J or ham and cheese, they are portable, quick and filling for anytime of the day!

String cheese for a super quick snack for my little ones. Just enough to stave off the hunger pangs while dinner cooks.

I'm lucky, they've been asking for banana's lately too so that's another option.

Congrats on the 2 year anniversary. You've really inspired me to do better on my shoppng budget.

I agree with the previous commentors about the sandwiches but I also like a nice waffle from the toaster on a morning when we are running a little behind. I get the cinnamon or strawberry waffles and then he doesn't even need syrup.

Cereal....if you're hungry, have cereal. If you don't like what mom is making...cereal. Hurry, hurry, hurry....cereal.

We don't have the luxury of quick foods on the run... my daughter has so many food allergies. Everything she eats has to be homemade. We do make extra when we cook and freeze it for a quick meal.

I precook breakfast items on the weekends and freeze them for microwave reheat on school mornings (sausages, muffins, pancakes, waffles). Also, lunches are easy with a cereal bar, fruit strip, salty snack and ds's must-have PB on tortilla.

Leftovers, I know that sounds so old and over used, but it really makes things quick. I take the left overs from each meal and freeze in individual servings. They make easy microwave meals.

Thank you for entering me in your giveaway.

I purposefully plan meals to leave enough leftovers for nights when we are on the run -- like every Tuesday during fall soccer season. As for breakfast we do a lot of instant oatmeal in the winter; it's healthy, tasty and keeps everyone going until lunch.

Anonymous said...

My favorite snacks on the go are granola bars and grapes. Other favorite meal items are ham & cheese sandwiches, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, and best of all....leftovers!

My picky eater (age 5) loves a plain cheese sandwich, applesauce or yogurt. (He's the picky one because that is the ONLY things he'll eat). My youngest (age 3) is on a granola bar kick right now but at a picnic the other day he had a cupcake in one hand and a live cricket in the other. Hopefully he was remembering which hand to take bites from. :)
