Hip – T Review and Giveaway

DSCI0643

Tired of seeing that ugly “plumbers crack?” Are you showing a little too much of yourself? If you answered YES then you might want to check out Hip-T.

Hip-T is an article of clothing you wear over your pants waistline and under a shirt. They come in several different colors and styles, but best of all it saves the world from “plumbers crack.”

DSCI0645

The black item is the Hip-T. As you can see without it with those short shirts you might be showing more than you ever wanted to.

It is not a full shirt but rather a 5-9 inch wide “band” to keep everything “up to our own imaginations.”

Hip-T gave me one to try out and they are offering one lucky reader one too.

How to enter:

Leave a comment about a person you know of or have seen that really should not go outside without wearing a Hip-T.

Fiber One Yogurt Review and Giveaway

FiberOne_Gift_Photo-Medium

MyBlogSpark sent me this great “Healthy and Fit Weight Management” gift bag which included a cooler pack and other items to carry my food in plus a coupon for Fiber One yogurt.

If you have not tried the Yoplait Fiber One yogurts, you really need to, especially the Key Lime Pie, my personal favorite. They also have Peach, Vanilla and Strawberry. Not only are there a tiny 50 calories per serving but they also contain 5 grams of fiber, which is 20% of what you need in a day. Sometimes I eat two at once…and don’t even feel guilty.

The Hungry Girl gives this her seal of approval even. You can read what she thinks about Fiber One yogurt here.

Do you want to try Fiber One for yourself? You can print off a $1 coupon here which is about half off the normal price.

MyBlogSpark is also offering 3 lucky readers their own “Healthy and Fit Weight Management” gift bag!

How to enter: Leave a comment telling me a guilty snacking pleasure of yours.

For additional entries you can:

1. Follow me on Facebook through the Networked Blogs button

2. Follow me on twitter @jane4girls

3. Tweet this: #CardboardNoDeliciousYes. Get some @jane4girls http://jane4girls.blogspot.com/

Come back and leave a comment after each item for a total of 4 entries per person.

Entries will be taken until Wednesday, September 2 at noon CST. I will post the winners and you will have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked.

Some comments might take longer to be posted as I will be out of town for a couple of days, but don’t worry they will all count.

Kroger Mega Event Gift Card winner

If you have been following along on my blog you read that MyblogSpark, PepsiCo and General Mills gave me a $30 Kroger gift card to use at the Mega Event to see just how many things I could buy.

I finally got all my coupons together, mostly printables and headed to Kroger. I ended up doing 7 transactions total. It was a lot of work but worth it. Yes, I could have gotten a ton more than I ended up with but I wanted to be practical with what I bought. I can make breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks between all the items I purchased. Not all items were part of the Mega Event and I will mark those with a *.

2 Trix cereals
1 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel (watch for a review coming later)
3 Tropicana Trop 50 Orange Juice
1 dozen eggs*
3 Yoplait Fiber One yogurt (watch for a review coming later)
1 Yoplait Trix yogurt
8 Pillsbury sweet roll
2 Totino's Pizza rolls (watch for a review coming later)
10 Sobe
3 Pillsbury Savorings
2 Wanchi Ferry Meal Kits
3 packs chicken (to go with meal kits)*
14 Pillsbury grands
1 head lettuce*
2 lbs bananas*
4 Haagen-Daas ice cream* (watch for a review coming later)
8 Betty Crocker fruit snacks
1 Baked Cheetos
1 Nature Valley Nut Clusters
2 Reach floss*
1 10-pack Bic razors*
1 Milk Bone dog biscuits*
8 Pillsbury crescent rolls
2 Betty Crocker Warm Delights
1 Better Crocker cookie mix

Total spent $30 on gift card OOP $1.30 (yes I went over a bit)

Most of the non Mega Event items I had FREE item coupons for from the mfg. I also used several FREE item coupons for items that were part of the Mega Event. I combined the sales with coupons, both paper and loadable, to achieve this total.

I ended up with a grand total of 84 items! Yes, I know I could have gotten way more if I got tons more rolls, biscuits or cinnamon rolls but I wanted to be practical and get "meal" items.

Two winners guessed 83 items, one tweeted for an extra entry but I have not verified the tweet yet. Those two names will be in a run off. If I can't verify the tweet by noon CST, each person will just have one entry in the run off and the winner will be announced at noon CST.

EDIT: Winner CouponBootCamp you have 24 hours to get back to me from the time stamp on this post or the gift card will go to the runner up!

Expo TV

Expo TV has something called Tryology. It is a way to review different products for FREE, my favorite thing. You create video reviews of the products you are trying out.

Earlier in the month I tried new Gain with Febreze and made a video on it. To my surprise I got an email yesterday saying I had won a $250 Target gift card for my video. I had NO IDEA there was also a contest on it, lol, otherwise I would have posted it on my blog for people to view.

So if you want to try new product for free and are able to make video reviews on it, I suggest you join! I had a lot of fun with the video as you can tell, lol.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS
And, congratulations to the big winner!

First and foremost, the Expo staff would like to offer a big THANK YOU to all who participated in our Gain with Febreze Freshness Tryology Program.

We loved hearing what you thought about Gain with Febreze Freshness liquid laundry detergent. Check out some of our favorite reviews from Tryologists BChild, jjawny, and cybeeb.

Last but certainly not least, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the $250 Target gift card is...

jane4girls, who shared her thoughts on Gain with Febreze Freshness detergent.
Click here to see jane4girls's video review.

Congrats to jane4girls, and thanks again to everyone for trying and reviewing Gain with Febreze Freshness laundry detergent!

You be the judge!

Pillsbury has had an annual Bade-Off for the past 60 years. Now there is a new element to the judging of winning recipes, Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest’s new You Be the Judge! voting. The contest’s entry period ended in mid-April 2009, but now they invite us to help with the judging. For the first time in the contest’s 60-year history, everyone can help determine 10 recipes among the final 100 that will compete for the $1 million grand prize!

How does the You Be the Judge! voting work? Judges will select 20 recipes to be placed online at www.bakeoff.com in pairs for a period of two weeks for each pair. Consumers can vote for their favorite recipe in each pair. The recipe from each pair that wins the most votes will earn a spot in the final competition, April 11-13, 2010, in Orlando, Florida.

Voting is limited to one vote per person per each pair of recipes. Voters must be registered members of www.pillsbury.com and 18 years of age or older as of May 1, 2009, to participate. The first pair of recipes was posted on May 14, 2009 and a new pair of recipes will be posted every two weeks (namely, May 28, June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20, September 3 and September 17, 2009). The voting period for the tenth and final pair of recipes will close at 11:59AM CDT on October 1, 2009. Visit www.bakeoff.com for the official rules.

Pillsbury and MyBlogSpark invites you to cast your votes throughout the summer. In addition Pillsbury is offering prize packs featuring a magazine of past Bake-Off® recipes and a Pillsbury Doughboy giggle doll to two lucky readers!

To enter simply leave a comment about what you think it takes to have a winning recipe.

For additional entries follow me on twitter and tweet this: I want to squeeze the Pillsbury Dougboy @jane4girls http://bit.ly/aZ5Pt #jane4girls

You can tweet this twice a day for two extra entries per day. After each tweet come back and leave a comment that you tweeted it.

Entries will be taken until Tuesday, August 25 at noon CST. At that time I will post the winners and you have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked.

Joey-Totes Review and Giveaway

If you have been around my blog long enough you know I love shopping. The one thing I don't like about shopping is the waste from plastic and even paper bags. Every so often I will get plastic bags though when I am buying meats or ice cream because they tend to leak into my re-usable bags and make a mess and they are not easily washed. I was sent a sample of Joey Totes re-usable bags to try out.

One one of the super cool things I like about them, other than the fact that they are re-usable, is that they are washable! That means I don't have to use plastic at all....EVER! If they get dirty, I can either toss them in the washer or wash by hand and line dry.

Another great thing is their compact size. Because they are made with ripstop Nylon they are not only durable but they can be folded up and stuffed inside of each other for easy carrying.

The Joey Totes come in two sizes, the Big Joey and the Regular Joey. The Regular is the one above with the cereal in it, it holds quite a lot and the Big Joey holds even more.

I have been offered to give away a set of Joey Totes on my blog to one lucky reader! Entries will be taken until Monday, August 24th at noon CST. At that time I will pick a winner and you will have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information or a new winner will be picked.

All you have to do is leave a comment with your name and email address telling me ways you are trying to reduce, recycle or reuse. I will pick one comment at random.

Success Rice Review and Giveaway

For those who don't know, I am a rice junkie! It does not matter what kind it is, I love rice. Anything from plain white rice to rice with nutmeg and milk (try it, it is good). Recently I purchased Success Rice with coupons provided by them. I had not purchased Success Rice in a very long time, probably because it was not the brand my mother bought. Well...Mom, you were wrong.

One of the benefits I loved about Success Rice is that it is quick and easy. No measuring rice then water and standing over the stove or turning on a rice cooker. Nope, all you have to do it take one of the bags and put it in a pot of boiling water. No measuring, no standing over the stove. Each bag is cooked in about 8-10 minutes. I made a recipe from their "Feed 4 for $10" section on their site and it was a big hit , the rice lasagna.

Success Rice has offered to give away one coupon each to 5 of my readers! Entries will be taken until Saturday, August 15th at 5pm CST. At that time I will post winners names and you have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing information. If I don't hear from you by then a new winner will be picked. You have several ways to enter.

1. Go to the Success Rice website and check out their "Feed 4 for $10" recipes and tell me which one you would consider trying.

after that has been done and for extra entries you may do the following, once they are done leave another comment letting me know for each extra item you did.

2. Follow me on twitter @jane4girls and tell me your twitter handle

3. Tweet about this and include @jane4girls and @success_rice both in the same tweet

4. Follow me on networked blogs through facebook

5. Blog about this on your blog and link back to the giveaway including a link to your post

Total of 5 separate entries per person if you do all five items above.

anonymous entries must leave email addy on each one so I can get in touch with you

Pocketville Online games

If you have little kids you have probably heard of Puppy in My Pocket products. They have a wide line of animals for your child to "adopt" and take care of.

They have an online version called Pocketville where your child can adopt different animals, dress them up and play online games. I have been given an online code to share so your child can experience the fun. The code is good until September 30th. If you have more than one child they can each create an account and each use the code. That is always nice so they can each have their own pet and accessories.

Voucher Code: B9GX8NUDYS

Valid for 250 Pocketville Tokens

Tokens are used to purchase items for your pet in the virtual pet store. I have been playing this with my youngest over the weekend and it is fun. One thing I really love about it is that she can interact with other kids through "canned" chats. Meaning she can't give out any real information but only chose from a list for he
